Office planning for Bohnenkamp AG in Osnabrück
Bohnenkamp AG is the European market leader in the agricultural and forestry tire wholesale sector. The tradition rich company blends down-to-earth business acumen with a forward-looking innovative edge. Based in the Northern German city of Osnabrück, the listed company contracted Krüger to completely refurbish one office floor in its headquarters.
Focusing on employees is one of the central corporate values which is practiced on a daily basis at Bohnenkamp. The challenge in redesigning the office space was to create an environment in which the employees felt comfortable and were inspired to work productively.
The design had to fulfill all the demands of a modern, ergonomically friendly workplace, including electric height-adjustable tables, allowing employees to also work in standing. Glass partitions create a friendly and open atmosphere, but also allow concentrated work. Meeting areas, two small kitchens and central copy and printer stations provide plenty of opportunities for impromptu discussions and meetings, ultimately contributing to improving communications at the company. The art of Marc Podwawczyk provided a dash of color to the interior – adding to its vibrancy, without detracting from its plain and simple nature. A description that could also apply to Bohnenkamp itself.
Krüger carried out the entire refurbishment of the floor in close cooperation with the architect and construction manager – starting at the drawing board and deciding how to strip down the existing offices. As all these services were managed by the same company, a recurring theme runs through the entire design, giving the final result a consistent, coherent overall appearance.
