Workplaces with Customized Mass-production Furniture

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is a leading business consulting firm. Architects Petzinka, Pink and Partner built a new office building in Düsseldorf for 150 employees.

The requirements for the furniture reflected the special requirements of the consultants at Roland Berger - the furniture had to be customized and flexible while taking into account that the consultants only worked in the building one to two days a week and were otherwise on site. A furniture program with free-swinging worktops without table legs, fully hidden cable ducts, single power lead and very space-saving dimensions that had been developed for and successfully implemented at a different client was further developed for Roland Berger. This resulted in the creation of a three-person workplace with a continuous worktop (235 x 175 cm) and additional legroom by adding space in the base frame.

The consultants now have an efficient platform that caters to modern desk sharing and teamwork. The furniture fits perfectly in the architecturally appealing building.
